My friend has forward this great info about an upcoming movie that tells the story of Jim Elliot, Nate Saint and the two other men who lost their lives as they tried to share Jesus with a violent tribe in Equador.  Please check out the website, www.endofthespear.com

There is a great film opening January 20th called "End of the Spear".  It is a TRUE story about missionaries from WHEATON who went to the jungles of Equador, South America and end up getting murdered.  It is a beautifully done piece of art.  However, they don't have much money to spend on advertising, so we're trying to get the word out (I have not seen the movie).  Please feel free to forward this email.

We want to support films like this at the box office THE FIRST WEEK they open.  There are people working very hard trying to change what is coming out of Hollywood.  Hollywood will listen if people go (ie The Passion)!

We're also trying to generate interest by just having people look at the website....www.endofthespear.com.

It is an amazing story.  All of Chicagoland, and especially Wheaton, needs to support this movie!

I went to see end of the spear and would like to say it was a terrific movie.  I have read parts of the story about Jim Eliot through the A Beka school curriculum but this movie helped me understand the details much better.

I saw your comments about college on lonestar tater's site and found them very interresting.  I have a son in college who is a sophmore and we (his family and himself) have learned much about some of the bad things about college.  Unfortunately the older children in the family seem to have to be the guinea pigs for everything.

Oh yes, that's funny.  "The Older Guinea Pigs"!!  Are they the ones who end up having the most character because they have been through all the life experiences that we are trying to protect the little ones from?  :)  Thank you so much for the comment.  Can I put you on my subscription list?

Sure you can!  Is your name Mary?  Mine is.  About the Guinea Pig thing, I was just trying to be encouraging.  Both of my kids have been Guinea Pigs since I only have two.  I have to be reminded most of the time to just trust God to take care of them and allow them to be molded into the people He wants them to be, of course I want to be the best parent I can and know that I will be held accountable for the way I have raised them.
